Stepan Ryabchenko
Stepan Ryabchenko was born 1987 in Odessa. Contemporary Ukrainian artist, one of the leading figures in digital and new media art. The focus of his work is on the interaction between the new media and classic visual art tradition, the boundary between the real and the virtual world, and the new nature of art. He participates in international projects and Biennales. Nominated for the Pinchuk Art Centre Prize (2011). Laureate of the International competition of contemporary sculpture Kyiv Sculpture Project (2012). Lives and works in Odessa, Ukraine.
2011 – Graduated from the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture with a master's degree in Architecture.
2010 – Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
2010 – The winner of the First All-Ukrainian Triennial of abstract art ART-ACT.
2011 – Nominated for the PinchukArtCentre Prize.
2012 – Laureate of the international competition of contemporary sculpture Kyiv Sculpture Project.
2015 – Among 30 successful Ukrainians under 30, according to Forbes list.
