Sergei Sviatchenko
Sergei Sviatchenko was born on October 7, 1952 in Kharkiv. An artist, painter, photographer, he also works in genres of collage, video, installation, photo art.
Since 1990, he has been living and working in Denmark. Member of the Union of Danish Artists and Graphic Artists (BKF). Laureate of the International Award for the Yellow Pencil Award 2007 (London). In the 1980s, he headed the Centre for Contemporary Art in Kyiv. Since 1990, he has participated in numerous collective and personal exhibitions in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Austria, France, the UK, Canada and the USA.
The founder of the art gallery Senko Studio, the author of the photo art project Close Up and Private. He is considered to be one of the most influential and most famous collage artist in contemporary art.
