Dmitriy Grek’s project The Space of Events reconsiders humankind and its invisible component, the inner world.

The sculpture presents a generalized image of focus on oneself and one’s calling. The laconic figure remains in the quiet, nearly imperceptible process of internal fine-tuning.

Due to its density and depth, bronze brings out the sense of rootedness and presence, while the horizontal plane next to the figure forms a special field of connections: the space envisioned by the author as an open possibility, the space awaiting to be filled alongside with the protagonist’s heart.
