Roman Minin "Dante"

 

The thought that hell is situated underground first appeared in the Middle Ages. There are plenty of legends about travelers who have stumbled on the wall of darkness in the dungeons. My miners gain the eternal glory in hellish conditions and they hope that their overwhelming work will be immortalized on the pages of the prominent poet.

Miners send a welcome letter to Dante, regards from Donbass, the message telling what they had to come through during their life. The name of this outstanding Italian artist is often mentioned to symbolically bring out the most valuable culture achievements, whilst miners acquire minerals. In contrast with the workers, Dante in his underground wanderings seems to be just a vulnerable tourist-storyteller.
